How To Find Answers to All Your Homeschool Questions + Giveaway

Do you have questions about Homeschooling?  Well, you've come to the right place.  Let me direct you to consider setting aside 3 days in June so that your questions can be answered!

Convention

Attending the Home Educators Association of Virginia Convention is truly a life-changing event.  As a homeschool mom, I eagerly awaited those 3 days each year.  When I was a young homeschooling mom, I had so much to learn.  From terminology, laws, choices, and overall ideas, the HEAV Convention was the place to learn it all.  If they didn't have it, it wasn't available.

Over the years, as I felt comfortable with homeschooling, I still had questions each year.  A new year brought the excitement of curriculum (changes), a new combination of grades, and even evolution in my homeschool philosophy.  Because of the HEAV Convention, I was able to learn, find new areas to discover, and bring home the best for my children.

For those just starting out, the first day is filled with free sessions for homeschool parents.  Our great directors will be there to teach you how everything works and to encourage you.  We all need a good plan, and here you can find the advice and tools to create the perfect plan for your family.

The unbelievable schedule at the HEAV Convention has to be seen to be believed.  Each year it continues to grow and develop into the best convention I've ever seen.  Moms and Dads can attend amazing keynote addresses with the top speakers available.  There are also sessions that cover anything and everything.  There is an Exhibit Hall where you can shop til you drop!  This is so much better than a catalog or online shopping, because you can look throughly at each item and take your time.

When you shop in the Exhibit Hall, many times you'll be able to meet and question the author of the books.  You'll be able to learn why they created the curriculum, their philosophy, and sense their passion for learning.  Many exhibitors are also speakers at the convention.

If you're looking for a bargain (aren't we all?), you'll find them at the Used Curriculum Sale.  This highly-organized and HUGE room is a fascinating place!  Every type of curriculum, books, resources, and How-To books can be found.  You'll love it!
